Keith Decker (Austin Hamman’s stepfather):
“My wife and I would like to put in another endorsement for Lambda Chi Alpha. The fraternity provided a home away from home that eased the transition for our son Austin in his freshman year. Through leadership opportunities within the fraternity, he gained confidence and experience that helped him secure a great chemical engineering co-op with Marathon.”
Melissa North (Mother of Ben North):
“Looking forward to the Chicken Benefit Dinner at Lambda Chi Alpha. They really reach out to help the Community. My son, Ben, is very happy living there!”
Laurie Zeitler (Mother of Caiden Zeitler):
“Fall Greek Rush is in full effect. As a mother of three boys, I’m a big proponent of the greek system. My husband and I are both Greek from another university. My older boys are Greek and my youngest is currently a ΛΧΑ at S&T. During his freshman year, we saw his immediate connection to a group of people that held similar beliefs.
He moved into the fraternity house after just 2 weeks on campus! He has accountability with respect to his grades and behavior. He has a support system for the days he was struggling. Over the summer, he has spent time with fraternity brothers in town and out. As a mom, I’m confident when we pack up all of his stuff in August and drive to Rolla, I will be dropping him off at his 2nd home. My son, Caiden, is always willing to chat with parents or students interested in Greek Life and specifically Lambda Chi Alpha. Each person has to find their place, group, tribe. I wish your sons and daughters all the best in the upcoming school year!”
Erikia Becherer (Mother of Logan Becherer):
“I have seen so many posts regarding Lambda Chi Alpha and I thought I would share our experience as well
Joining Lambda Chi Alpha has been a transformative experience for our son, both academically and socially. He is in his second year and he’s found a supportive community that fosters personal growth, leadership, and friendships that I know will last a lifetime! It has been amazing to watch this growth.
The fraternity’s commitment to academic excellence has helped him stay focused and motivated, while their social events and brotherhood have provided a sense of belonging and fun. We have visited on occasion and we always feel welcomed and have had a wonderful time. If you have a son considering joining a fraternity- Lambda Chi Alpha offers a unique opportunity to be part of a network that values both academic success and meaningful connections. It’s been a game-changer for our son and I believe it can be for yours too!”
Greg Mettlach (Dad of William and Dominic Mettlach):
“We have two staying in the Lambda Chi house this year, a junior and a freshman. Great group of young men.”
Tammi Bargman and Daryl von Hagel (Parents of Brennan von Hagel):
“As parents, we are happy that our son joined Lambda Chi during the fall semester, and believe this was the best decision for him.
Not only did Lambda Chi offer an alternative to other on campus living options but also make friends, become involved in both school and community activities, and network with professionals. Additionally, our son’s Lambda Chi Alpha brothers have helped him navigate the rigors of his Nuclear Engineering education by providing tutoring, personal experience, and access to school programs. Our son has worked hard to become an engaged brother, and he has taken an active role in what the fraternity has to offer. From leadership positions to assisting others, our son has formed necessary skills and character traits that will allow him to excel in whatever he chooses. Having our son join Lambda Chi is a decision we do not regret.”
