Recruitment
Our Associate Program
In 1972 Lambda Chi became the first fraternity to ban the pledging system to help promote an anti-hazing culture. This means instead when new members join they are considered an “associate”. As an associate new members have access to the same things as active members like running for officer positions, voting, and wearing the letters ΛΧΑ. Joining as an associate allows new members to be treated with respect and helps to avoid pledging and the hazing that comes with it.
What does it mean to be a Lambda Chi?
Joining Lambda Chi is a commitment to becoming a better man by learning and instilling our values as well as maintaining a good academic standing. Through our weekly Kappa meetings men learn our core values of L.D.R.S.H.I.P (Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Service & Stewardship, Honor Integrity, Personal Courage) which will help them grow to become respectable and outstanding men for their carriers and communities. As a member you also are committing to maintaining a 2.6 average GPA with members having access to study-hours and our campus wide file system to help them in their academics.
Brotherhood
We strive to help every member become the best man they can through our brotherhood events and our varying philanthropy events. Our brotherhood events allow each brother to form a deep bond with each other to form friendships that will last through college and beyond. Through our philanthropy events we encourage our members to help out in their community like our Pine Street Cleanup, and to help with donating to important causes like our Chicken Benefit Dinner and our Wings and Fries events both of which go towards feeding kids in America.
